Sachin Tendulkar must easily be the most talked about cricketer in the history of the sport. Here are 10 questions on the Little Master – arguably the greatest of the modern cricket greats. The partnership came in a match against the Anjuman-E-Islam High School in 1998. Sachin was representing his school – Shardashram Vidyamandir High School. This partnership was then the highest partnership in any form of cricket in the world, and remained so till 1998.
Tendulkar had been selected to the Bombay team for the previous (1987) season, but he did not make it to any final XI. In his debut match against Gujarat, he scored 100 not out, making him the youngest Indian player to score a century on first class debut. He was aged 15 years and 232 days.

It was on 9 September 1994, at a match in Colombo. It had taken the Little Master 79 matches to get his first hundred, but that abysmal rate was soon going to change dramatically!
His maiden hundred is still counted amongst one of his finest innings. Sachin scored a match saving 119 not out on the final day of the test. India were chasing a target of 408 runs and had been reduced to 127/5. Sachin first partnered with Kapil Dev and then Manoj Prabhakar to save the match for India.
Sachin captained in 25 tests. India won 4, lost 9 and drew 12.
